Overview of Brain Plus

Brain Plus could be useful for people who have trouble with short-term memory. It is a supplement that is made of ingredients that we have seen before, so it isn’t breaking any new ground in terms of the formula. Still, it could be helpful for those who are concerned with their cognitive performance and would like to try something to improve it.

How Does Brain Plus Work?

Many claims surrounding Brain Plus include improvement in memory, focus, and mental energy. It could help you perform tasks at work, in school, or your everyday life with sharper mental focus. Considering the ingredients in Brain Plus, it may also help curtail cognitive decline related to aging.

What Are The Ingredients In Brain Plus ?

Most of the ingredients in Brain Plus are pretty common when it comes to nootropic supplements and naturally occurring as well. Below you will find a list of the most important elements of the Brain Plus formula.

Bacopa monnieri – This herbal extract was studied in a double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trial wherein the test subjects showed no significant improvement in learning, rapid visual information processing, or spatial working memory[1] when compared to the placebo group.
L-Carnitine – L-carnitine is an amino acid that plays an important role in the oxidation of fatty acids, closely associated with physical energy. L-carnitine supplementation may be able to improve cardiovascular health and increase blood flow[2] . While there are no direct links between this amino acid and improved cognitive function, the belief is that better blood flow to the brain will help it operate more efficiently.
Ginkgo biloba – Ginkgo biloba is another herbal ingredient. In one study, it was shown that a test group that was taking ginkgo biloba regularly for 3 years became 70% less likely to develop Alzheimer’s[3] than a placebo group.
L-Glutamine – L-Glutamine is another amino acid that may be able to provide the user with more mental energy.

Does Brain Plus Really Work? The Science Behind Brain Plus

Some of the claims that the manufacturer of Brain Plus makes about the product seem to be validated by the product’s blend of ingredients. Other claims, however, don’t seem to have any clinical basis. The Ginkgo biloba and L-Carnitine in Brain Plus may be able to help slow cognitive decline and provide more mental energy, respectively. But the claim that Brain Plus could help you focus better may be unfounded.

What Are The Benefits Of Brain Plus?

  • This supplement may provide more blood flow to the brain
  • You may be able to handle mental tasks more effectively
  • Brain Plus may provide enhanced mental energy
  • Brain Plus may also help to improve memory

What Are The Drawbacks Of Brain Plus?

  • Very few customer-generated Brain Plus reviews
  • There may not be enough Ginkgo biloba in Brain Plus to help stop memory decline
  • Some of the claims related to this product seem to be unfounded
  • Bacopa has been disproven as a nootropic supplement in most studies

FAQs: Consumer Questions & Answers

The known side effects are mostly mild like stomach pain, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and itchy skin. Also, there could be an increased risk of stroke associated with the long-term use of Ginkgo biloba.

One bottle of Brain Plus contains 30 capsules. The assumed dosage is to take 1 capsule per day.

Probably not. There are not enough proven ingredients in its formula.

Unfortunately, Brain Plus does not seem to be available through the official website anymore so we cannot report an official price for it. Also, it does not appear to be available through reputable third-party online retail sites either.

The only health concern is the increased risk of stroke due to Ginkgo biloba’s ability to thin the blood. Brain Plus may also react negatively with nitrates. For those with sensitivities, the product may cause skin rashes or itchiness.

For the most part, yes Brain Plus is safe. But you should always talk to your doctor before using supplements like Brain Plus. There may be some issues related to the blood-thinning effects of Ginkgo biloba, which is an active ingredient in this supplement.

No, Brain Plus is available without a prescription.

What Are Consumers Saying About Brain Plus?

Since there are very few third-party Brain Plus reviews, it is unclear at this time how effective Brain Plus has been for people who have used it. It is very likely, however, that the results will vary among users.

Final Words

Overall, there is insufficient evidence to validate the effectiveness of the product. The lack of online presence, product information, and customer reviews are a bit concerning. More concrete evidence is needed to support the claims that the product makes.

The belief that Ginkgo biloba staves off memory loss is a bit intriguing. Ginkgo may produce long-term benefits but less likely short-term results. You should ask your doctor if L-carnitine and Ginkgo biloba supplementation would be suitable for you. If you will be able to find Brain Plus, it may be of some benefit; just don’t hold out too much hope.

    helped in memory improvement
I bought this product for my friend who suffers from mild dementia. It seems that it was helping him with his focus and attention and he seems more engaged in his work. Since he was struggling at work with concentration and memory and not sleeping well. After taking this product he feels sharper in general and somewhat helped in memory improvement too.
