Overview of Equelle

Menopause affects every woman. And while menopause itself doesn’t last very long, the symptoms can linger for a decade. Equelle is a dietary supplement that is purported to contain naturally occurring ingredients, not cause side-effects and also does not contain any hormones.

The main goal of the product seems to be to reduce the occurrence of hot flashes but there are other apparent benefits to this menopause product that we will discuss.

How Does Equelle Work?

The product functions by raising estrogen levels in the body to balance hormones, supporting bone health, and improving metabolism.

Who Is The Manufacturer Of Equelle?

The manufacturer of Equelle is a company called Pharmavite LLC, which is headquartered in California. It was founded in 1971 by Barry Pressman. In 1989, Otsuka Pharmaceutical took over the organization. They are in the business of producing dietary supplements and vitamins, which support health and wellness. What Are The Ingredients In Equelle?

The main ingredient in this product is one that occurs naturally. But it is supported by some other ingredients of note. Here are the most important ingredients in Equelle:

S-Equol (fermented soy germ) – In a study published by the Journal of Women’s Health, in which women in Japan were supplemented with fermented soy germ for 12 weeks, it was found that the supplementation significantly reduced the occurrence of hot flashes. The study was placebo-controlled and seems to suggest that S-Equolinteracts positively with estrogen receptors to promote better hormone balance.
Sunflower Lecithin– Lecithins help move fats in the body throughout the metabolic process. It may be that sunflower lecithin helps promote brain, blood and nervous health.
Calcium Phosphate– Calcium phosphate may be used to treat bone density loss, a symptom that occurs in some menopausal women.
Palm Oil– Palm oil is another naturally occurring substance that may support the metabolic process.

The Science Behind Equelle

The main ingredient is S-equol, which is fermented from soy germ. This substance contains isoflavones that can bind with estrogen receptors because they behave similarly. This raises estrogen levels and helps balance the hormones, decreasing symptoms like hot flashes and mood swings. Besides, this supplement has calcium, which supports bone health during menopause when there can be deterioration.

Does Equelle Really Work?

There are many positive reviews of this product on the official Nature Made website. However, it should be noted that customer reviews from unbiased third-party retail sites are currently unavailable.

What are the Side Effects of Equelle?

While the manufacturer claims that this product is side-effect free and none of the reviews on their official website mention any side-effects, it should be noted that Sunflower Lecithin has been known to cause stomach aches and diarrhea with regular use.

Benefits of Equelle

  • This is a natural product
  • It may help reduce the risk of menopausal weight gain
  • It contains clinically tested ingredients
  • This product may help women sleep better by reducing the amount of night time hot flashes

What Are The Drawbacks Of Equelle?

  • The product contains soy, which is a common allergen.
  • A one-time purchase is somewhat expensive.
  • Equelle only has one active ingredient.

How Much Does Equelle Cost?

Equelle is available on the official Nature Made website where it is sold in a subscription service and as a one-time purchase. If you opt for the subscription service, you will receive one bottle of the product every 27 days. They will ship it to your address directly. This subscription service costs $39.95 a month. You can also purchase Equelle without subscribing. One-time purchases of Equelle cost $45.95 per bottle.

Dosage Directions for Equelle

According to the official Nature Made website, the user is to take 2 capsules of Equelle in the morning and another 2 at night.

Can Equelle Help with Weight Loss?

While weight loss is not a selling point of this product, the ingredients in it make it an interesting prospect, particularly for metabolism. For one thing, palm oil and sunflower lecithin are known for having an effect on the metabolic process. Whether this is a significant effect or not is dependent on the user. But increased metabolic function may help with weight loss efforts.

Another interesting possibility of this product is that it may help some women sleep better by reducing night time hot flashes. Better sleep can also help rejuvenate the metabolic processes which could possibly lead to weight loss benefits.

Final Words

Equelle is made by one of the most trusted supplement manufacturers in the country. There are plenty of positive reviews for it on the official Equelle website. But does it really work for hot flashes? The main active ingredient is promising as there are studies to back up its efficacy. And while most of the women in such studies experienced hot flash reduction, it should be noted that not all women noticed an improvement. Furthermore, there are no studies that back up the claims that the ingredients in Equelle can relieve muscle aches. This product should be taken with caution but overall, it seems like it could help a majority of women who have been struggling with hot flashes. Talk to your doctor and be sure to monitor your physical reaction to this supplement if you choose to use it.

    Your Rating:

I was back to having many daily hot flashes and night sweating.
When I started using this product, it took about 10-12 days before feeling any benefit but after that initial period it worked great but for only about 2 months then all symptoms returned. Did not feel anything different. I was back to having many daily hot flashes and night sweating too. I started feeling burn like sensations in my stomach also.
