Overview Of Simply Sleep

Simply Sleep is marketed as a nighttime sleeping aid. One of the major marketing points is that it is non-habit forming.

A lot of sleeping aids sold in the US contain ingredients that have been linked with unhealthy habit formation. But Simply Sleep includes a single active ingredient that is used in other sleeping aids that are widely distributed and purchased in the United States. So it may be safe for most users, but can this product help you get better sleep? Let’s find out.

How Does Simply Sleep Work?

As stated in the previous section, Simply Sleep relies on a single active ingredient, which we will get into more detail about a bit later in this review. But for many consumers, Simply Sleep works by inducing a feeling of drowsiness at night.

On that note, it should only be taken at night soon before you plan to sleep. This is an over the counter sleep aid and should not be combined with any other pain killers, sleeping aids, or alcoholic beverages.

Who Is The Manufacturer Of Simply Sleep?

Simply Sleep is manufactured under the Tylenol brand, which is a constituent part of the larger conglomerate, Johnson & Johnson.

Johnson & Johnson is responsible for some of the most recognizable products on the market. From baby powders to various creams and ointments, they have a broad list of products to their name.

What Are The Ingredients In Simply Sleep?

As stated earlier, Simply Sleep has a key ingredient that is found in many other sleeping aids. But it is also supported by a list of inactive ingredients that aren’t typically found in comparable products. Here is a list of the substances of note:

Diphenhydramine HCl – Diphenhydramine HCl is a type of antihistamine sedative. It induces feelings of drowsiness and is commonly found in allergy medicines. The problem that some studies have identified with long-term antihistamine use is that test subjects typically form a tolerance to it – rendering them ineffective at the safe dosage levels.
Carnauba Wax – Carnauba wax is an inactive ingredient in the Simply Sleep formula. It is harvested from the leaves of a wax palm[1] that is native to Brazil. In products like this, it is typically included as an additive or to impart a pleasant smell.
Polyethylene Glycol – Polyethylene glycol is commonly used as a mild laxative because it helps to retain water in the stool. It has also been used in various gastrointestinal products. It remains unclear at this time why it is present in the Simply Sleep formula.
Magnesium Stearate –  Magnesium stearate is commonly used in pharmacological products as an anti-caking agent – ensuring that capsule products don’t succumb to moisture damage.

What Are The Benefits Of Simply Sleep?

  • Simply Sleep may encourage deeper sleep.
  • This product may be able to help you fall asleep faster.
  • It is produced by a reputable manufacturer.
  • Simply Sleep may be able to help you sleep for longer periods.

What Are The Drawbacks Of Simply Sleep?

  • It contains a mild laxative component, which doesn’t seem to have any purpose in a sleeping aid.
  • It may be harmful to take Simply Sleep if you have bronchitis or other respiratory issues.
  • It contains artificial coloring agents such as blue no. 1 aluminum lake.
  • Long-term use of Simply Sleep may make the user impervious to its sedative effects.

What Are Consumers Saying About Simply Sleep?

Consumer-generated Simply Sleep reviews are scant, but most of them are favorable. Users remark that Simply Sleep works as advertised and makes them feel sleepy at night. But other reviews complained about the relatively short shelf-life of the product.

    Thanks to sleep well!
My grandmother is 87 and lives with us. Because of her age, she doesn’t sleep well and her Doctor recommended me simply sleep. I started giving her this. 2 tablets makes her tired and slow in the morning. 1 is perfect though! Now, she sleeps well, wakes up alert, and talks all day. Thanks to sleep well!
